Uzbekistan is in Central Asia. The easiest way to reference it on a map is to find Russia
(that's kind of hard to miss) and then look down and left to the south western border. Kazakstan is the larger country bordering
Russia and you can find Uzbekistan underneath. Geographically, Uzbekistan is the heart of the region bordering each of former
Soviet Central Asia states - Kazakstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan as well as a little, teensy, tiny border with
Afghanistan.
